I really wanted to see them milling and pressing apples, but I guess that's only done on the weekend now. They have gotten really commercial with their offerings too. Don't get me wrong there is a ton of good local stuff here, but it's all about the dollar anymore it seems.

Been coming here for over 25 years now. I live in New Jersey but my family has a second home near by to Fly Creek. It gets really crowded in September/October and most times you have to wait in a long line outside the store. They only let so many people in at a time and its common to wait twenty plus minutes this time of year. They have cider samples as your waiting in line to ease the pain. Over all a great place but the doughnuts have changed since the original recipe. The new ones they have been mass producing are horrible and leave an after taste and waxy film in your mouth. The original recipe was so light and fluffy with no unnatural additives. Really wish they would bring back the old recipe. The cider on the other hand is the best in the New York and New Jersey area by fair. Go to the store first then the snack bar. There are always coupons for the snack bar on your recipe. Place is slightly over priced but they do offer loyalist program for rewards if you are a regular.

The dips, fudge, and apples are awesome. Be careful, there is an limit on the number of wine/cider samples of 3 or 4 (not posted). For wine, I recommend the Pail Shop Winery down the street which included a tasting of every wine for free with the purchase of your favorite bottle at the end.

Neat place, has a huge variety of upstate New York foods, utensils and knick knacks. You can feed animals and get desserts and frozen beverages outside. The hot cider comes highly recommended.

My sons and I make the pilgrimage to Cooperstown twice a year and always make time to go to the Fly Creek Cider Mill. We get our usual haul of awesome extra sharp cheese, cider donuts, caramel apple pie, and sweet corn salsa. Plus, with the samples, we always find some more stuff to get. Then we go and stuff ourselves at the food counter. Always get a meal deal. Love the chili in a bread bowl and pulled pork sandwich. Hint: buy something inside first and get a 10% off coupon for food.

Very cool cider mill. Way off in the woods. I expected it to be less commercial than it was, which is not a bad thing. LOTS of prepared products like dips, fudge, donuts, and obviously cider. They have samples of a lot of what they sell. Everything I tried was good. Cool place to visit, I will definitely go back!
